Japan Day 2



Yummy toast breakfast with salad and yoghurt to start off the day:)

Our first destination, Hell Valley.  A place where sulphur is emitted from the ground... :S

Cool bus-ticket machine on the bus which we took to and from Hell Valley :P  It's at the back door of the bus , which is also the door from which we get on.

The ticket will reflect a number on the top right-hand corner...ours reflects a number "1"...and thus...

...according to electronic board at the front of the bus, our "1" on the ticket means that we'll be paying 330yen :)  A simple and cool way of paying for our ticket;) Oh yes, they have a coin-changing machine ON the bus too! :)

I LOVE this shot:)  The funny things is, I didn't even frame this shot on purpose :P  It was randomly shot when I was hurriedly walking across the road by just snapping with my camera which was at my waist level :D We were at Shiraoi, on our way to the Ainu Village:D

My friends and I were super intrigued by this chopstick rest at one of the restuarants we ate at!  By the way, it is a REAL fish :P  I sniffed it and it had a fishy smell :)

Japan Day 1

Hellooooooo...*echo* yes I know I should've been updating since school holidays have started for some time already...just didn't find time to.  Procrastination is still my biggest enemy I guess :p

So, I went to Japan from 24th Nov to 4th December, and, I'm now in Melbourne visiting my brother.  Haha..I think somewhere in my blog history there was this post called "Internation Citizen":)  Well, here I am again, being an international citizen this holidays.

Japan Day 1

I'm amazed at the snack pack that ANA provides for it's passengers, it's seriously a whole pack!  If I don't remember wrongly, usually what passengers get for a snack would be a simple bottle of water with a small pack of peanuts.  ANA gives us an entire pack of stuff, in this nice looking plastic bag with draw strings, and in it you'd find a bottle of water, 2 packs of really nice tasting biscuits, a wet tissue, and a little sign that tells you that if you do not want to be awoken for a meal later, you can just display the sign on this little hook beside your tray table before going to sleep :)  Japanese are seriously into the details ;)

 Japanese toilets are really fascinating :P Even more fascinating than the Korean toilets..haha..complete with instructions that teaches you how to use all the washes and stuff after you do your business.  AND, some of the toilets have this toilet flushing sound, which I think is used to mask the sound of you doing your business so you won't feel embarassed..haha...so cute..

 A Pokemon plane! :)  This is the connecting flight which we took to Hokkaido from Tokyo.  Super cute! :P

 Even the sheet of paper on the seat is pokemon-themed :P  Like I said...details.. :P

 And more pics to support my claim on their attention to details..AND packaging.  This is what W got when he ordered a MOS burger meal to eat, an entire lunchbox looking package!  Couldn't resist taking a picture with it=)

 The convenience stall in Japan are well stocked with all these little packet drinks of all types and sizes:) Real colourful and exciting-looking..

 After our train ride from Hokkaido airport, we went on foot, lugging our luggage over to our hotel, Keio hotel, which was quite near to the train station, Sapporo station.

 *drag drag drag* :P

 Lunch place for first day, at a place called Ramen Alley.  This tiny little alley is lined with ramen shops..looked exactly like those shops that you see in Japanese dramas ;)

 Awwwwwww..cute isn't he??  This little puppy was being sold in one of the shopping centres...super cute..

 This was our dinner on the first day.  Yes I know it should have been sushi or teppanyaki or sukiyaki or sashimi or SOMETHING more Japanese, but we had bread and cakes from Starbucks.  Before you shout "SIAO!!!" at your computer screen. we were there because we were SO tired from flying overnight to Japan, that we were half falling asleep the entire day while walking around, so we went back to rest in the hotel, all the way till 9pm :p  So by the time we got out of the hotel to hunt for food, all the places were closed or closing.  Starbucks was thus our best option ;)

 They've got a christmas design on their cups..quite cute..  I suppose we have this in Singapore too? :)

So that ends Japan Day 1...

My first attempt at Photoshop!!

Presenting, my super duper mega ultra proud work (with LOTS of help from my friend F :P ) of my class' 75th Anniversary Class Tile !!  My very first attempt at Photoshop :) *beams*  I was smiling at it for 10 seconds after I finally finished editing it :P Hahhaa...I must say Photoshop is a very interesting and useful photo-editing programme, of which if F wasn't teaching and helping me the whole time I was doing up the tile, I would have probably gone mad :S  Heh, so am very happy to have picked up some photoshop skills and at the same time, do up my class tile :D  Wooohhoooooo :)
